I don't like to toss around the word "treason" as casually as it's used nowadays. Nonetheless, I agree with the sentiment. I think most (if not all) of the congressweasels now serving deserve to be strung up for aiding and comforting enemies.
Yes! What you said!! From first word to last word!! Sharing this on every platform where I have an account. And sending the link to my state and federal representatives and senators!!
absolutely correct on all counts. If the U.S. doesn't defend our borders with deadly force the country is lost. It isn't irretrievable now but nearly so. If the globo homos, jews, communists, progressives, liberals or whatever you want to call them stay in power, it will become irretrievable.
This should absolutely be the default position regarding our borders. Swift dispatch of anyone attempting to breach our borders would sooner rather than later send the message any sane country must make clear. Keep out or die.
when you tell criminals that they can steal up to $900 worth of merchandise without being prosecuted, people learn real quick how to do math in their heads
I am Canadian, living in Canada, so other than the small number of illegals crossing our borders, both in absolute numbers and relative to our population - and they are coming from the United States, with very few entering the US through Canada - I have little to no skin in the game.
That said, I wasn't sure if this Blog entry was serious, or whether it whether it was hyperbole. Certainly the subject is as serious as it can get, and was the main thrust of Trump's campaign in 2016. By the way, he never did build that Wall.
So, from a logical standpoint, dealing with a long-standing problem (and not mentioning the benefits illegals inject into America, namely cheap agricultural labor, otherwise your produce would cost significantly more), this Blog hits all the high points (a low point?) and gets the expected response, judging from the Comments. I haven't followed John Hawkins long enough to know if this is his usual style, or what his reasoning was when he wrote this in this way.
On the one hand I agree with him completely. On the other, I think it is ludicrous - aside from the illegals who do rape and murder Americans. No recourse is unacceptable in dealing with them.
But, and I am a gun owner (of all types), I think the moment America goes across this (theoretical) line all is lost. Yet many seem to not only want this solution, they seem to revel in it.
On a related note: It's not enough to "round up" and deport illegal aliens. We need to make the USA so inhospitable that (a) the vast majority of those here leave on their own, and (b) those contemplating illegal entry opt not to.
In addition to actually enforcing federal laws against those who employ illegal aliens, 8 USC Chapter 12 needs to be made stronger, more explicit to make clear that state and local officials - elected and civil service - will be criminally indicted and prosecuted for aiding or abetting illegal aliens. This includes the full range of support from designating a jurisdiction as a sanctuary for illegal aliens to giving them any aid whatsoever (hotel rooms, prepaid Visa cards, driver's licenses, educational benefits, etc etc etc ... or shield them from arrest by ICE). Medical professionals have a moral & legal duty to render immediately necessary aid to save life or limb; beyond that, any aid at all, whether actually given or simply offered, should be punished
Prosecute a few college presidents, NGO workers, police chiefs, mayors, county supervisors, state legislators and a governor or two for aiding & abetting illegal aliens, and they'll knock that nonsense off pretty quickly... and there will be no place left in the USA for 10s of millions of illegal aliens to hide.
Illegal immigration benefits many people. It gives Democrats more votes. It gives employers more workers. It distorts statistics, such as the number of new job hires, in ways that benefit the ruling party. It boosts the economy when immigrants spend their government assistance dollars. On the other hand, it does not hurt many people very much and only in incremental ways: Overcrowded schools, soaring health care costs, loss of jobs by workers displaced by immigrants, etc.
That's why there is no enforcement. Legal immigration is generally a good thing; after all, it built this nation. Take two recent immigrants at random, however, put them side by side, and we have no easy way to tell which one is legal and which is not. As the illegals thus blend into the population, all immigration becomes a good thing.
Finally! Someone said it! I would add this; every elected official's failure to heed your advice is committing treason!

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.
I know it's harsh. But we get the behavior we incentivize.
We are incentivizing illegal immigration.
We are incentivizing hostage-taking by unfriendly governments.
Both of these things need to stop.

Thank you 😊
A solution that would likely work immediately. Makes too much sense to ever get implemented and doesn’t cost enough.
That's throwing it down! Catchy title, too.
For the record, I absolutely agree with you.
Sound reasoning there. Thanks.
