A few days ago, Vanity Fair dropped a piece called, “Disney’s Boy Trouble: Studio Seeks Original IP to Win Back Gen-Z Men Amid Marvel, Lucasfilm Struggles”:
Clearly what we see is raging cognitive dissonance in the girl space. They are walking, talking contradictions of hysteria, hyperbole and hypocrisy. The are unhappy and don't know what they want. And when they think they land on what they want, it is rarely what they actually need.
They are frankly insane and making themselves and everyone around them miserable.
I see it as just a disconnect between our evolutionary gender biology and development clashing with changes to the socioeconomic system that derived the girl boss. Nobody was ready for this one in human history social experiment for female domination. It isn't going well.

Here is the weird thing about that backing my point... I think many of them that would rage about this image are secretly attracted to that vision of life... but would never admit it.
And somewhat related to that... although we would say that physical violence of any kind is not the preferred response unless clearly needed for defense, a man punching another man in the face for an extreme level of verbal attack would be accepted by most people. So, if we are really in a period of gender equality, why then would not a man punching a woman in the face for a similar reason be acceptable? Consider that this question makes you recoil in disgust, and you should start to understand the "cake and eat it too" distortion of the female girl boss. She can scratch your eyes out of your head in a rage, but you can only open the car door for her and come to her rescue when she is attacked. That is no sign of gender equality.
I like reading the "Faerie porn" books from Sarah Maas where there is a female warrior/hero. She of course has magic on her side to offset her liability of being smaller, weaker and emotionally unstable, but she also periodically gets her ass kicked by stronger warrior males that are her enemy.
Another well written comment; I like how you broaden and deepen the discussion each time. Any straight male runs into these "harassment" situations on the job at times and we get sick of the "believe all women" propaganda, apparently even from those who admit to their girlfriends that they've stopped taking their bi-polar meds because they love the manic phase too much (ask me how I know.) You have to laugh when you see these 110 pound women beating up on large, muscular, body armored male security guards/soldiers or trained assassins. Video game stuff; not even close to reality. Why do you think firearms were invented? Ask any guy who has ever competed in athletics, they will know the physical differences.
Women want to be subdued by a male who attracts her interest. She knows she needs it, and may resist as a formal nod to cultural acceptance but she won't resist very long. In fact, she'll be like melting butter for any man who shows her strength, tempered with gentleness and danger constrained by self-restraint.
Disney is too woke to even realize what the problem is. I suspect they have too many girl bosses like the CEO of Cracker Barrel who's broken the glass ceiling so she must be a genius in all things business. Even if she's wrong, no man dare mention the fact if he wants to draw his next paycheck.
Disney may want to claw back the gen Z male, but the internal culture has no clue what to do after all these years of male bashing.
Well said. Let them all fail if they can’t figure this out. Stop acting like woke a-holes and start making positive movies that you know guys will like. Make movies about knights, cowboys, soldiers, etc., and make them the competent heroes they were and are.
So much of what the woke do is nonsensical and counter-productive and this is yet another example. The arrogance, the insularity, and the over inflated egos of these people does- sometimes- turn around, bite them in the behind, and it leaves them scratching their heads and asking why? I mean, they are wise, they are good, the "moral arc of the universe" is bending towards them, so how could their plan not work, they say. John, this is one of the few examples where I hope AI succeeds and knocks these self-righteous Hollywood clowns off their perch at the top of the cultural heap. I also hope that they've foolishly blown through their money and end up on skid row with the bums they claim to care so much about.
