So, I almost died on Wednesday.
I could give you all details and some people would enjoy the drama, but that doesn't feel like the right way to go.
Although obviously, it is nice not to have died, I am still in Intensive care having a deeply unpleasant experience and trying to get stabilized.
As you might imagine, this isn't really an environment conducive to cranking out think pieces on culture, so I have not written anything this week.
Now, you might wonder why I am telling you all this. It's because I really do appreciate my readers. Without the paid subscribers and all of you liking, sharing, commenting, Culturcidal would not exist.
There's no way I could let you think I was just slacking off. I am hopeful I will be out of here and back to writing in a few days. Your patience would be much appreciated. So would your prayers actually. Thank you for the support. If God is willing, I will be back very soon.
Praying for a full and quick recovery. Your common sense wisdom and interesting takes on current events means a lot to me and others. Take good care of yourself and know that many of us are deeply appreciative of your work.
You are a valuable voice in our civilization. I will pray for your recovery, and remind the Father that Christ took all of our illness and infirmities to the cross, as Isaiah 53:4 says; "...and by His stripes we are healed." I look forward to your columns and the clarity and focus you bring to complex issues. I appreciate you and wish you a complete and speedy recovery, John. (Named after Jesus' most beloved disciple!)
