An older friend of mine once showed me his old Social Security card, that had printed on it, "Not to be used for identification purposes". When Social Security was introduced, some people expressed concern that your social security number would become your national ID number. These people were dismissed as extremists and crazy conspiracy theorists, and just to shut them up, the government swore up and down that a social security number would never, ever become a universal national ID number.
This move is not a good move. Allows too much "control" and possible takeover by others to strip you of your own money.
So in order to use the new digital dollar, will you have to have the number "666" tattooed on your forehead?
