The Terrible Price America Will Pay Because Liberals Believe the Rules Don’t Apply to Them
Robert Howard is the fellow who came up with Conan all the way back in 1932, and the original 13 novels he wrote are absolutely amazing A++ fantasy writing I’d still recommend to anyone. However, he did also write other things, including “Kull the Conqueror,” which was made into a 1997 movie with Kevin Sorbo.
The film flopped, but I enjoyed it a lot back in the day. In the movie, through an unlikely series of events, the barbarian Kull becomes king of Volusia, an ancient, powerful kingdom. Throughout the film, they emphasized the large number of sometimes unjust laws that the kingdom lived by. At the end of the movie, when Kull’s power is unquestioned, he smashes the stone with the laws on it, signifying that they’re no longer in effect, holds up his massive ax, and declares, “By this ax, I rule!”
All that sounds very nice… in a movie. It’s also very nice if you’re the one holding the ax, as many kings, chieftains, warlords, noblemen, and emperors have done throughout history.
That is the oldest form of government, one that existed long before democracy hit the scene, but one that was also incompatible with free civilizations.
The essence of “might makes right” is, “As long as I am the strongest, you will do what I say or else,” while democracies imperfectly revolve around, “Here are the rules we have agreed on, and no man is above the law.”
Although civilization has made it possible for all of us to thrive in a way that we never could under a “ruler,” liberals have never quite liked this arrangement.
As the great Thomas Sowell has noted:
You see this repeated endlessly in the way that liberals behave. They don’t see the need to have one set of standards for everyone and ALWAYS seem to have completely different standards for liberals and non-liberals.
They held the police back and allowed left-wing riots all over the country in 2020. They allow their liberal compatriots to break the law at will in places like Portland and Minneapolis. They literally support mobs tearing down statues of people it’s trendy to dislike on the Left. They support sanctuary cities and oppose deporting even rapists, pedophiles, and wife beaters who are illegal aliens because they’re a favored class on the Left. They demand an open border because too many Americans don’t support them, and so, they need to bring in new voters who will support their agenda.
In professions they dominate, they openly despise and discriminate against people who have political differences with them. Even if you argue that some of the prosecutions of Trump were legitimate, there’s no question that all the prosecutions in NYC were purely driven by politics.
Every single story in the media they control tilts in one direction or another based on what liberal narratives they’re trying to push or protect. They’ve hijacked our schools and funneled tens of billions of taxpayer dollars into funding and promoting their agenda. They support judges who rule based on politics, not the Constitution. They’re openly trying to make elections less secure to make it easier for their liberal compatriots to cheat.
When they get back in power, they’re talking about doing away with the filibuster, expanding the Supreme Court, and adding new states to pad their Senate margins, all of which are highly likely to destabilize the whole country. Of course, we also can’t forget that we just had one of the most shameful incidents in all of American history, when a liberal assassinated Charlie Kirk and millions of other liberals publicly celebrated it and declared that he deserved it for disagreeing with them.
Having half the country that thinks like this is reminiscent of Abe Lincoln’s famous quote:
Similarly, America cannot endure a population split between people who believe everyone should live by the same rules and people who believe that it’s okay for them to break the law without consequences any time it serves their ideology.
Why?
Well, that takes me back to something that happened to me in my sophomore year of college (It has been a long time, so forgive me if I mangle some details of this.) I was on break from school and was back “home” in the town I grew up in at a friend’s party.
One of the guys there was a local badass. He was older than me, big, got in a lot of fights, and won a lot of them. I met him before briefly, and we had some friends in common, but I really didn’t know him very well.
I was chatting with a girl I knew from school when he walked up to me and said something like, “Hey, Hawkins, what are you doing talking to my girl?” I was pretty confused by this, because I was fairly sure she wasn’t actually his girl, and it wasn’t like I was sticking my hand down her blouse. I was just having a conversation with her at a party. So, I didn’t get it.
He then said something akin to, “Okay, you’re talking to my girl? Then let’s fight.” I was like, “I don’t really know what you’re talking about, and I don’t want to fight you.”
Again, he challenged me to step outside, and again, I told him I didn’t want to fight.
Once again, he challenged me to fight, and people started to crowd around to see what was going to happen. After getting frustrated that it didn’t seem possible to talk it out, I said, “Okay, f*** it, let’s go outside.”
At that point, he laughed loudly and said, “I was just kidding! You’re all right.” Then he walked off.
First of all, I was pretty annoyed, but I also was there to have a good time, not get in a fight, so I rolled my eyes, went on with my night, and I’m not sure the two of us ever ran into each other again.
That being said, what that story represents is how things have been going between the parties. The Democrats do whatever they want with zero regard to the rules or anyone else’s rights, and the Republicans choose milquetoasts like George W. Bush, John McCain, Bob Dole, and Mitt Romney as nominees to show everyone how nice and reasonable they are.
Of course, ultimately, the American people pretty clearly don’t reward politicians for being nice and reasonable, so this gets the GOP nowhere. Republicans certainly didn’t want to lose to Barack Obama, but we were at least hoping that electing the first black President would calm the Left down and get them to stop claiming America is racist every 5 minutes. That didn’t work either.
As we all know, the Left responded to Obama’s presidency by getting more radical, spewing more hatred at Republicans, and trashing America as racist even more often. This led to the Right essentially saying, “Okay, if we can’t talk this out, then let’s step outside,” by choosing Donald Trump as the nominee. Like liberals, he doesn’t have a great deal of respect for people, norms, and laws that get in his way.
Now, both sides are playing the same game, and the question is, where do we go from here?
In a perfect world, it would be, “Let’s go back to everybody playing by the same set of rules, and we can just try to convince people we’re right to change their minds and win.”
However, what’s most likely is that it’s going to keep escalating, and realistically, there’s not much further the country can go in that direction and hold together. I am on record as saying that getting rid of the filibuster in the Senate is the end of America as a Republic, and the most likely outcome of stacking the Supreme Court by blue states would be red states declaring that the Supreme Court is no longer legitimate and so there’s no reason to abide by their decisions anymore. Again, that would essentially make America impossible to govern and would lead to a crack-up.
We are quite literally getting very close to the point where there’s no room for us to go further down this road and have the American Republic remain intact.
Where does that leave us? Realistically, either liberals are going to normalize their behavior, and Republicans will need to follow suit, or liberals will keep going in the same direction, and it will likely lead to massive violence, revolution, secession, civil war, etc., etc. There’s just no chance we’re going to allow liberals to rig the rules to allow them to run a one-party state. It would be best for all of us to live in a Republic under the Constitution, but it would be better to fight or live under a conservative one-party state than a liberal one-party state.
As I have said many times before, almost all Americans would suffer greatly in a situation like that, so it would be a terrible outcome, but how do we forestall it without allowing liberals to rule us by force or choosing to rule them by force instead? That’s hard to say unless they somehow, some way, come to their senses.
At the end of the day, it would be very nice if liberals returned to sanity and they recognized the unsustainable path they’re putting our whole civilization on with their terrible behavior, but that may not be in the cards.

I don’t see liberals having the emotional or mental health to come to a reasonable change of mind. The ones who have been making a mockery of our Republic and Constitution are religious zealots worshipping every tenet that stands against our traditional culture. These are not people with whom reason and logic can influence. They are weak, fearful, psychopaths whose only hope of personal respect is to successfully tear down what our Constitutional Republic stands for and kill anyone who stands in their way. I see no possibility of them coming to their senses…because they have no sense, only blind hatred.
It is the damn chicks. They are stuck in a doom loop.
Females don't know what they want. They don't know what they need. Men have always had to calm them the f*ck down. But we have diminished men and pushed women to a position of dominance in our socioeconomic system. This has never happened before (check history) and probably for a damn good reason. So, the chicks are the girlbosses now, but they still crave care-reassurance is it is baked into their evolutionary biology. Already on the razor's edge of mental stability, this situation where this feminized population are forced to care for themselves and not have the constant reassurance of a dominant male with the primary responsibly to acquire the needed resources... while having the feminists scream at them that they are weak and useless thinking they actual need a dominant man... well, it has sent them over the edge into a mental health breakdown.
They are unhappy and unsatisfied, and they cannot accept the truth that it has been the feminist movement and not men that have caused their misery. There is no rational end game for their pursuit. They want to dominate males while having males care for them. Their rage is related to this being unattainable, but instead of looking inward, they double down in rage at the male icon for not giving them what they demand. Trump is the biggest of that male icon. They hate him.
To hell with the matriarchy... bring back the patriarchy!
