This May Be Our Last Chance to Deradicalize the Left

It's either this or we're headed toward widespread violence

In retrospect, we should have known liberal murders were coming.

Liberals have gotten so used to getting their way with violence that they consider a conservative speaker just showing up on a college campus as a legitimate reason to scream at, threaten, and attack them.

Conservative speakers have been silenced over and over on college campuses with disruptive and violent tactics. Influencers have had to leave campuses for their safety multiple times.

In fact, this has turned into a style of conservative influencer video. The conservative influencer peaceably sets up a booth or shares their ideas, as liberals tear up their signs or even make them flee for their lives, while the liberals who run the universities cover for them. It makes for an exciting video, but it’s also a sign of how out-of-control liberals have allowed our colleges to get. You could say the same about the sometimes-violent anti-Semitic protests we saw on liberal campuses last year:

Of course, we also can’t forget the assassinations. There was a Bernie Sanders fan who shot up Republicans playing softball in 2017. Liberals tried to kill Brett Kavanaugh and then Donald Trump twice. After the Left succeeded in murdering Charlie Kirk, the attempted murder of Nick Fuentes now seems more relevant. Nick Fuentes is a horrible person (he actually has me blocked on X because I have dragged him so hard), but he’s also a non-politician/Supreme Court Justice that could have been murdered by a nutjob before Charlie Kirk:

We also certainly shouldn’t forget the orgy of violence that was ALLOWED TO HAPPEN in liberal cities back in 2020. You didn’t see much of it in the suburbs, and there was almost no rioting in Republican run areas where the people in charge weren’t friendly and violent rioters risked getting shot, but in many liberal cities, the police were held back and violent mobs of criminals were allowed to loot, burn, and commit mayhem on the streets.

25 people died, and the damages were somewhere between 1 and 2 billion dollars. Some of this was done by the Black Lives Matter movement, some was by opportunistic criminals, and ANTIFA was also involved. ANTIFA openly advocates violence and murder, and they have been allowed to run wild in Portland in particular for years now:

All this was topped off by millions of liberals on and offline openly celebrating Charlie Kirk being assassinated by a liberal and many Democrats in Congress refusing to even vote for a resolution honoring him after he was murdered. Not only were there liberals doing TikTok dances and tens of thousands of other releasing statements that sounded like Hamas hyping up a terrorist attack against the Jews, but millions of others essentially tried to justify the murder by saying something like, “Political violence is terrible. Charlie Kirk shouldn’t have been killed, BUT… (reasons why he really deserved it).”

These groups of people do not constitute a small number of liberals. Realistically, we’re probably talking about somewhere around 40-50% of the Left that don’t just disagree with you but want people like you dead. Some of them are college students, others work in your hospitals, your schools, and your local government offices, and some may even be related to you.

There are two horrible things about the sheer number of liberals who want us dead.

The first is that we are finding out that they weren’t just saying so many horrible and violent things about us because they’re stupid; they were doing it because they were evil. We cut them slack because we thought they didn’t know better. Now, we know they did know better, but they wanted us dead.

So, if the first horrible thing is that we now realize how many liberals want us dead, what’s the second horrible thing?

It’s that liberals, particularly liberal politicians, now fully realize a big part of their base, maybe even a majority of them, want people like you and me dead.

I’m not going to sugarcoat what this means at all. It means that there is a significant chance that when liberals take over the federal government again, they may rewrite the rules to try to lock themselves in power and then try to use the police and military to disarm the population so they can rule with violence. Once we get to that point, the experiment with democracy that the Founding Fathers started will be over, and the country will be ruled by whichever side is most effective at killing the other side.

That is not just something you’d see in a video game or movie anymore; it could ABSOLUTELY HAPPEN in 2028.

So, what do we do? I can’t give you a full, comprehensive roadmap to tell you how we need to deal with this situation because events could quickly get out of hand to such an extent that there’s nothing left for all of us to do other than kill or be killed. Just consider how much violence liberals have engaged in since the celebration of Charlie Kirk’s death made them realize how much their side wants to see murder:

Imagine what would happen if the Left killed Trump or, say, Clarence Thomas. Hundreds of retaliatory killings? Martial law? Who knows?

Assuming we do get a chance to address this before the country flies apart, how do we start to deradicalize the Left?

Simple. In fact, it all comes down to one word: CONSEQUENCES.

Liberals have been engaging in and encouraging violence for a long time while suffering very few consequences for it. That has to change in a big, big way.

That process has already started with conservatives going all out to get liberals fired for celebrating Charlie Kirk’s murder.

That needs to continue. If someone encourages violence online, that’s something several thousand conservatives need to discuss with their boss until they’re fired.

It’s also critically important that ANTIFA be destroyed. Given that Donald Trump declared them a domestic terrorist organization and will be bringing the full power of the US government down on them, there’s a very good chance that’s going to happen.

Some people are upset that they haven’t already started the crackdown, but that’s a myopic way of looking at it. The goal here isn’t to shut down a violent protest today or arrest 50 people: it’s to roll up a large portion of the organization and ideally, any bigshots funding it as well. That takes time, preparation, and getting the pieces in place for coordinated action. Let him cook, and you will probably be very happy with how the dish turns out.

Another big piece is cracking down on forums, social media outlets, and streaming services that allow liberals to glamorize and encourage violence. The first stages of that are also occurring:

This is already having an effect. It’s undoubtedly why “Destiny,” who has frequently advocated violence against conservatives, has now been kicked off YouTube. It’s also probably why Reddit, Bluesky, and Meta are warning people they might get kicked off for “glorifying violence” by celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death.

Typically, those services turn a blind eye to liberals breaking those kinds of rules, but no CEO wants to get called in front of Congress after a world-shaking assassination and read messages from their service encouraging that kind of behavior. Know who’s really worried about getting assassinated? Members of Congress… and they will go after anyone they think may make that more likely.

All those things are good, but there are two other components we need to see.

The first is that the behavior at universities needs to be addressed. Under no circumstances imaginable should students be allowed to threaten, attack or intimidate people on campus because they disagree with them. Students who do that need to be expelled. Students that call their political opponents “fascists” right after someone was assassinated because they were falsely called a fascist? Expelled. This kind of thing? Expelled:

If a university doesn’t want to cooperate with this, then they shouldn’t get any state or federal funds. Granted, blue states may let them slide, but red states sure as hell shouldn’t. College is supposed to be about learning and the free exchange of ideas, not violence, radical recruitment, and threatening people who disagree with you. That’s why it would literally be better to SHUT DOWN A COLLEGE than to allow the Left to threaten and engage in more violence without consequence.

From there, conservatives have to step up and treat liberal rhetoric with the seriousness it deserves in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s being murdered by a liberal and the Left celebrating it.

If someone calls people like you a “fascist” or a “Nazi,” that’s not one iota different than pointing at you and saying, “See that guy? I want someone to kill him.” When a liberal calls ICE, “The Gestapo,” it’s absolutely no different than pointing at ICE and saying, “murder those guys.”

Certainly, you shouldn’t be friends with or employ anyone who does something like that. People who do that are your enemy, but they have constitutional protections that don’t allow you to break the law to hurt or kill them. Still, why would you let someone call for your death without challenging it? Why would you let someone like that teach your kids? Would you treat them like someone who deserves respect in any way, shape, or form? No. Calling for violence against us is unacceptable and after Charlie Kirk was assassinated by someone with “Catch this fascist” carved into one of his bullets, no one can pretend anymore they don’t know what the result of their lies may be.

Last, but not least, the most important thing you can do is make sure Democrats pay a huge political price for this. The thing liberals value most is power over their fellow Americans, and if they conclude advocating violence gets in the way of that objective, it will quickly get orders of magnitude less cool to be violent on the Left.

What it all comes down to is something my friend Glenn Reynolds said:

Folks, what we’re talking about here is the “nice” and “easy” option. None of this is mean or hard. “Mean” and “hard” could involve the things we’ve seen in other nations and thought could never see here. We’re talking about possibilities like a military coup, neighbors being told to move out of the neighborhood if they want to keep breathing, and people being lined up against a wall and shot.

It all sounds crazy, right? Like something that could never happen here -- except we are much closer to it than most people realize. Liberals just killed a major conservative figure, openly celebrated it, and are still encouraging more violence. So far, conservatives have played nice – and I hope it stays that way.

Incidentally, if anyone out there is thinking, “Maybe I should shoot some liberal influencer or politician,” don’t do it. It won’t mean anything, and you’ll just end up condemned by most other conservatives before you die or go to prison. If things really kick off – and it’s possible they may – you’d be a lot more useful then anyway and if it never gets to that point, all of us will be better off.

We are at a dangerous point in history, so pray for your country, pray for peace, do your part to avoid conflict, but also plan and prepare for what may be coming.
