Conservatives are worried because the things they thought they wanted; no abortions, loads of guns for everyone; making the poor poorer and the rich richer, are getting them voted out of office with no hope of returning. The rest of us are concerned about trying to preserve democracy and the world for future generations. When you see where you fit in the big picture, the trifles conservatives worry about are nothing burgers.
Distressing especially in the rate of acceleration of these trends. Number 10, growing hatred of the other party is a recurring event for me. I can hardly stand to watch the news because I can predict the narrative- Christians shot and killed? Those poor (insert disadvantaged group here) had no choice but to fight back against those right wing EXTREMISTS! What is a woman- "anyone who claims to be one" is the only "non-violent" response. Not enough to accept, but to celebrate and introduce to the children in schools, without their parents' involvement. Decriminalize drugs- what could go wrong? Narcan should be freely available everywhere. Universal basic income- let some other sucker bring food to my house, I've got an EBT card to pay for it. Barack and the media certainly fixed racism, just like we were told that they would. And Christianity is now so infested with SJW's pastors who are afraid to preach from the bible for fear of offending someone that the Holy Spirit has left the building. I do see that our nation is in a death spiral, thanks to the progressive left, and yes, to the idiots who vote for them in spite of the consequences.
Spare us your misery. The world will be fine until it’s not; hopefully by then, some will escape and man will persist. If not, humans will not have been the first species to go extinct and I expect we’ll be among the last ones here….nothing to worry about in our lifetimes though.

It's mind-boggling. I can't watch normal TV news or fiction shows because they're like watching an alternative reality that is so far from what we're actually living in that comparatively it seems like we're living in some sci-fi dystopian world and the "news" seems to be fiction too. It's nice to hear some truth once in a while.
In the 1960s, America's proudest achievement was that we put a man on the Moon. In the 2020s, America's proudest achievement was that we put a man in the girls locker room.
