So many Democrats don’t seem to understand how such a large percentage of the American people could look at what they’re offering and say, “Thanks, but no thanks.” This has a lot to do with the fact that so many liberals tend to live in well-insulated echo chambers full of propaganda that make it difficult for them to understand the deep philosophical disagreements that so many Americans have with them.
With that in mind, if Democrats actually LISTENED to people outside of their own liberal circles, they probably wouldn’t have much trouble figuring out why so many Americans reject what they stand for. Toward that end, although I am a conservative Independent, I have never voted for a Democrat and probably never will. Why? We have too many irreconcilable beliefs. Like what? Well, for example…
I believe that…
1) …America isn’t a racist nation, and racism isn’t a significant impediment for 99.9% of the population.
2) …I’m not privileged because I’m white. I believe that no one should feel guilty over their skin color and that it’s okay to be white.
3) …nobody owes anybody anything based on race. No affirmative action, no reparations, no apologies, no nothing.
4) …the smaller the government becomes, the better off most Americans will become and the more effective the government will be. It’s hard to escape noticing that the bigger government has become and the more things it does, the worse it gets at the most basic things it should be doing like securing the border, maintaining law and order, fixing roads, helping Americans impacted by national disasters, and keeping the military as a strong, apolitical fighting force.
5) …we should probably cut 10 government programs, regulations, and employees for every new one we add and if anything, we should probably cut more. Far, far, more.
6) …we shouldn’t raise taxes for any reason mainly because I just don’t want the government to have any more money to waste.
7) …no person who crosses into our country illegally should ever be allowed to be here again legally for any reason, including citizenship or amnesty.
8) …we should finish the wall, put more resources into ICE, turn anyone who enters the United States illegally back automatically, and use as little force as needed, but as much force as necessary to secure the border.
9) …Jesus, America, and capitalism have been the three greatest forces of good in world history.
10) …God is real and serving Him is far more important than any political ideology.
11) …abortion is the murder of a child by its mother and should be illegal for that reason except in the cases of incest, rape, or threat to the life of the mother.
12) …manmade global warming is a pseudo-scientific scam driven by massive amounts of corporate and government money and nobody claiming that they know what the climate will be like in 100 years has even the slightest idea what they’re talking about.
13) …anyone who doesn’t produce a copy of their ID shouldn’t be allowed to vote.
14) …you shouldn’t end a relationship with a family member or long-term friend based on who they voted for in an election.
15) …we need to dump Obamacare and put a free market-based healthcare system into place in America.
16) …cultural appropriation is GOOD and should be encouraged! It’s a compliment from members of one culture to another.
17) …parents should be given vouchers that will allow them to take their child to the best school available in their area, whether it’s public or private.
18) …Liberalism, socialism, communism, fascism, and Nazism are all branches of the same tree and will lead to similar violent and totalitarian outcomes given enough time.
19) …part of what I should get for my taxes is no homeless people living in tents on the sidewalk, shooting up in the street, or generally being allowed to act like lunatics in public.
20) …the best way to keep the American people safe from criminals is to put them in prison and career criminals should be imprisoned until they’re old or dead.
21) …you can’t choose to change your sex any more than you can choose to change into a planet, an animal, or a tree.
22) …transsexuals are mentally ill.
23) …children shouldn’t be given puberty blockers, large amounts of hormones typical of the other sex, or mutilated in an attempt to change genders. If anyone wants to pursue that mental illness, at least let them become an adult first.
24) …no man should be allowed to share a bathroom, locker room, women’s shelter, prison cell, or women’s sporting events with real women and no, you can’t be born a biological man and “become” a real woman.
25) …patriotism should be taught to kids in school, while celebrating gay Americans should not be taught in school.
26) …people non-ironically mentioning “safe spaces,” “trigger words,” or “microaggressions” all just need to toughen up. The problem isn’t the world, it’s them being so soft and weak.
27) …asking people to call you by personalized pronouns is weird, narcissistic behavior, and no one should do it.
28) …traditional masculinity is good for men, and we should encourage it at every opportunity.
29) …diversity is not a strength. It’s a weakness that takes a lot of effort, conscious work, and cultural strength to overcome.
30) …we should support free speech in America and oppose censoring people just for having unpopular opinions.
Since people are asking, 18 was initially left blank as a mistake. I decided to change one out at the last minute, moved the one from #18 into that spot and got distracted, remembered moving it, thought I was good and went live. Only when I looked back in and saw it was missing an hour later did I replace it. My bad!
I love this list and agree with it 100%, but what happened to number 18?
