For some people, the answer to the question posed in the title is so obviously, “yes,” that it doesn’t even need to be discussed. All of the rapists I ever met with fed me back pablum that sounded like bog standard advice from any self help book. That, or the rapist was sympathetic and agreeing with me but wasn’t really hearing my words. I felt like I was being asked questions just so the rapist could tell me what *she* thought, not to help me in any way.
The rapists and their cousins, social workers, are just busybodies intent on telling you everything you’re doing wrong and then showing you the “correct” (I.e. their preferred) way of doing things. None of them are to be trusted.
