Every Red State Governor in America Should Be Shipping Illegals to Sanctuary Cities in Blue States
Send enough illegals to Martha’s Vineyard and liberals will build the wall.
The entire structure of modern liberalism is built on a framework of liberals trying to make themselves look kind, compassionate, and giving at other’s people expense. They want to give away other people’s money and get credit for being generous. They want you to give up burgers, cheap heating bills, and driving a car so they can say they care about the environment. They live in gated communities with armed guards, then declare that no one needs a gun. If you took the virtue that liberals are always trying to acquire on the cheap away, liberalism would collapse like a house of cards because that’s the core appeal for so many people. It allows them to have the good feelings and public shine that come with real sacrifice, charity, and service without actually having to do anything. Sure, you may have given 10% of your income to charity, bought groceries for a struggling family, or spent your summer coaching your son’s baseball team for free, but they supported a bill, so they’re a good person who cares about others and you aren’t.
It’s easy to see this whole dynamic playing out on illegal immigration. Liberals are rabidly in favor of illegal immigration for the most selfish reasons imaginable. They hope to bring millions of illegal immigrants here, turn them into citizens, hook them on welfare, and create a large new voting block while accusing Republicans of opposing this because of racism, not because it’s bad for the country. They absolutely do not care at all that this policy is leading to crime, wasting billions in taxpayer dollars, destroying respect for the rule of law, and driving down the wages of American workers. Liberals have even gone so far as to create sanctuary cities that won’t cooperate with ICE and that help illegal aliens stay in the United States even if they break the law.
Of course, as the great Thomas Sowell has noted, this is how you get the worst sort of outcomes:
After the Biden administration worked tirelessly to make it easier for illegal immigrants to get into Texas, Governor Greg Abbott came up with a brilliant idea that has wisely been copied by Doug Ducey in Arizona and now Ron DeSantis in Florida. Abbott decided that if liberals wanted illegals here so badly, they should be the ones to take care of them. To make that happen, he decided to bus illegal aliens to sanctuary cities in blue states. This was a beautiful idea in a lot of ways.
First of all, Texas opposes illegal aliens. These places support it. Texas doesn’t want illegal aliens. These states say they do. The federal government has been shipping illegal aliens all over the country, so there’s a precedent set for doing this kind of thing. It seems perfect, right? However, the reaction liberals have had to actually being forced to live with a teeny, tiny slice of the consequences of the policies they’ve imposed on places like Texas has been something to see.
In Chicago:
According to Abbott’s administration, the bussing strategy is being implemented because of the burden placed on Texas taxpayers due to the flow of asylum-seekers and migrants into the country at the southern border, but Lightfoot had much harsher words for what she argues is occurring.
“This is about a cheap political point. It’s not about sharing the load,” she said. “To Greg Abbott and his enablers in Texas: with these continued political stunts, (he) has confirmed what many of us had already known: he’s a man without any morals, humanity, or shame.”
... “They’re not cargo. They’re not chattel. They’re human beings, just like you and me,” she said. “Governor Abbott’s racist and xenophobic practices of expulsion have only amplified the challenges many of these migrants have experienced on their journey to find a safe place. This cannot be who we are as Americans."
In NYC:
(Shaina Coronel, a spokesman) said New York City intake centers were already overwhelmed with more than 5,000 migrants since a surge that began in May...."They're asylum seekers, they deserve to be here," (Manuel Castro, the Commissioner for the Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs) said. "What Governor Abbott doing is wrong... it's cruel, frankly, it's disgusting and it's pure cowardice to play with people's lives who have been through so much."
In DC:
Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser has asked that the D.C. National Guard be activated indefinitely to help the district respond to an influx of illegal immigrants arriving by bus, according to a report.
... “With pledges from Texas and Arizona to continue these abhorrent operations indefinitely, the situation is dire, and we consider this a humanitarian crisis — one that could overwhelm our social support network without immediate and sustained federal intervention,” Bowser wrote.
In Martha’s Vineyard, a wealthy sanctuary city that has so far received just FIFTY illegals from Florida, there is unmitigated panic:
Everyone knows that if illegal aliens voted Republican, every liberal in America would be calling you racist if you OPPOSED building a wall. Their whole position on this issue is rooted in grotesque selfishness, virtue signaling, and a savior complex. Liberals love painting illegals who broke the law to come here as victims and you as a racist for wanting the laws on the books to be followed, just so they can claim they’re heroes for defending them. In other words, they’re perfectly fine with forcing states like Texas to deal with the incredible mess created by illegals, calling them racists for protesting, and sticking everyone else with the bills and crime that go along with illegal aliens, all so they can smugly claim to be the virtuous ones for bearing 1/100th of the cost of their horrible policies.
Liberals don’t get to tell us they love illegal immigrants, create sanctuary cities, call us racists for not wanting illegals here, and THEN say they don’t want illegals in their backyards. They want to push illegal aliens on the rest of America? Then, the least they could do is bear the burden of their policies. Republicans should make sure that happens by shipping illegals to blue sanctuary cities in blue states until there are none left in the red states or liberals are demanding we build a wall.
I just shake my head and roll my eyes at these leftists - they are unbelievably obtuse; so steeped in their ideology they have no common sense, or self-awareness if they ever had any in the first place. They make me sick.
Liberals are, behind closed doors, who they caricature conservatives as, and this proves it.
