When there are no consequences for the grift, only the worst enter the club. Look at the Congress and the denizens inside the beltway for proof. There are no Jeffersons, Hancocks's, Paines, Adam's, Franklins or others of distinction and honor.
The "representatives" of today are a reflection of the voters, immersed in their devices oblivious to how government works or even who their representative even is. You can't understand economics if you can't make change without a calculator.
The indoctrination centers exist solely to dumb down the populace so they don't recognize the outright theft of the public, and personal, treasure. The country has nowhere to go, but down ... by design. As goes Europe, so follows America.
One would have to conclude that governments in general, for reasons I can’t fathom, want the dissolution of civilization. Is that out of stupidity? I don’t think so. Venality? It is for some. Last stages before collapse? It’s happened before. I wish it wasn’t happening now.
The dissolution of America in particular, and the West in general, IS the goal. Once destroyed, communism and the accompanying “utopia” (read, misery and poverty and government control by the “elites”) can be obtained. They have been playing this game since the 1950’s capturing one sector of society after another (education, media, courts, civil service, etc.).
I read once that the original definition of the word utopia meant “nowhere”. Utopia only exists in the minds of the deluded, who live in a fantasy of their own creation, and of course, in this utopia they’ve created in their deluded minds, they rule. It’s the only “place” they could rule, for they have little to offer a normal, functioning society.
