I read a lot of "Magnus Robot Fighter" comics in the mid-1960's (google it). Science fiction doesn't always come true. I think self-driving cars will never be widely used, as they will never be as skillful as human good drivers--they will be "lousy drivers". inspiring lawsuits due to careless-driving accidents (they already are). In my local McDonalds, the self-serve kiosks are often not working, with out of order notes taped on, and I avoid them anyway, as I prefer to talk to a real human, not fool with a clunky, ATM-like kiosk. And I'm not the only one!
