Liberals romanticize political violence aimed at their enemies. They rhetorically encourage it right up to the moment it happens; they coddle and protect the people who engage in it; and they often outright reward them for breaking the law. This has been going on for a long time.
For example, Barack Obama’s relationship with Bill Ayers was controversial for years. If you weren’t paying attention to politics in those days, you may be wondering who Bill Ayers was. Here’s an adequate synopsis of his crimes from Google’s AI:
Bill Ayers, a former co-founder of the Weather Underground, a radical group, faced charges related to the group's bombings of government buildings and other targets, including the New York City Police Department headquarters, the US Capitol, and the Pentagon. He was also associated with the group's actions during "Days of Rage" and the firebombing of a New York State Supreme Court judge's house. Federal charges against him were eventually dropped due to government misconduct.
Key Points about Bill Ayers and the Weather Underground:
* Weather Underground: Ayers co-founded the Weather Underground, a revolutionary group that sought to overthrow the US government.
Note what we’re talking about here. Someone who helped found a left-wing terrorist group that wanted to overthrow the government and bombed a number of buildings to help make that happen. It’s also noteworthy that he was unrepentant about that. In fact, he told the New York Times in 2001, “I don’t regret setting bombs. I feel we didn’t do enough.”
How did the Left treat this unrepentant terrorist? Well, he spent decades as a professor, he helped Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley reform the Chicago school system (which may help explain why it’s so bad), and he was on friendly terms with Barack Obama, a future far left-wing President of the United States.
Of course, the Left’s love of the Weather Underground wasn’t a one-off experience. Among other groups, they also embraced the Black Panthers, a violent, revolutionary group that committed all sorts of crimes from drug dealing to murder. In fact, what turned David Horowitz from a communist into a conservative was working with the Black Panthers, having them (he believed) kill a friend of his, and seeing absolutely zero interest on the Left in bringing them to justice for that:
In his continued mission to save the world, in 1968 David became co-editor of the new left magazine Ramparts. While at Ramparts, David developed a close friendship with Huey P. Newton, founder of the Black Panther Party. As part of their work together, David helped raise money for, and assisted the Panthers with, the running of a school for poor children in Oakland. He later recommended that Newton hire his friend Betty Van Patter as bookkeeper; she was then working for Ramparts. In December 1974, Van Patter's body was found floating in San Francisco Harbor; she had been murdered by the Panthers for knowing too much. The murder forced David to confront a truth that he had long suspected. It made clear to him that the pursuit of a Marxist utopia was a false and unachievable goal. Diabolically, the goal created a religion. The religion then cloaked the movement’s leaders with an invincible moral standing enabling them to commit atrocities with impunity for their own gain. He was horrified that he had been part of it and it caused him to rethink his entire life.
Of course, the surge of violence and bombings in the sixties was quite a while back, but the attitudes on the Left about it have never changed. Over the last few years beyond the Left deliberately blocking traffic, making countless violent threats, and setting up autonomous zones, we’ve seen a remarkable surge of violence, rioting, looting, and even assassination attempts. Among other notable incidents in recent years:
* In 2017, diehard Bernie Sanders fan James T. Hodgkinson opened fire on Republican congressmen playing softball. He wounded 4 people, including Congressman Steve Scalise.
* In 2020, the George Floyd riots that happened in liberal cities across America caused somewhere between 1-2 billion dollars’ worth of damage and cost 19 lives.
* In 2022, after left-wingers encouraged people to protest at the homes of conservative Supreme Court justices, which, let's face it, is meant to be a veiled threat, Nicholas Roske showed up with zip ties, a knife, and a gun. He planned to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
* In 2024, left-winger Luigi Mangione assassinated the CEO of UnitedHealthcare for purely political reasons. It’s worth noting that Mangione wasn’t even a customer of UnitedHealthcare.
* In 2024, there were two separate attempts on Donald Trump’s life.
* In 2024 and 2025, anti-Semitic rallies occurred in liberal cities like New York and across liberal Ivy League campuses. Against that background, in 2025, left-winger Elias Rodriguez murdered two people at the Israeli Embassy, and an Egyptian man who’s in the United States illegally, Mohamed Soliman, attacked Jews with Molotov cocktails and a makeshift flamethrower.
* In 2025, there was a liberal domestic terrorism campaign aimed at Tesla owners. Teslas were burned, keyed, and generally attacked.
It’s worth noting that many of these attacks have had strong support on the Left:
“While it’s always difficult to see violence and property attacks, are the attacks on Tesla and Tesla vehicles justified?” the pollsters asked.
The vast majority of respondents (70%) said, “No,” while 11% said they were not sure. Nearly one-fifth, however, said “Yes” (19%).
Respondents who live in high population density areas (53%) proved most likely to say the attacks were justified, followed by self-described atheists (45%) and respondents who say they think about politics every day or nearly every day (41%). Younger respondents (ages 18-34) also proved more likely to call the attacks justified (36%), as did supporters of Bernie Sanders’ policies (32%), and Democrats (31%).
Nearly half of college students in America view the accused murderer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson favorably, while more than 8 in 10 hold a negative opinion of Thompson, according to a new Generation Lab poll.
When asked to choose between the two, 45 percent of students said they side with accused killer Luigi Mangione, 17 percent with Thompson, and 37 percent with neither, the poll found. Forty-eight percent said they believed the murder was totally or somewhat justified, and 81 percent reported having an extremely or somewhat negative view of the victim.
Mangione, 26, is accused of murdering the UnitedHealthcare CEO outside a Midtown Manhattan hotel on December 4. He has pleaded not guilty to murder and other state charges. He is also facing federal charges, including stalking and using a firearm to commit murder, with the death penalty on the table.
The Generation Lab findings highlight a sharp divide in attitudes toward the gunning-down of Thompson, with younger individuals more likely to view it favorably and sympathize with Mangione. A similar trend appeared in an Emerson poll last month, in which 41 percent of voters under 30 described the killing as "acceptable," far more than any other age group. Social media users, meanwhile, have lionized the accused murderer, with Axios reporting that "the Internet" is cheering him as a "folk hero."
Today in Los Angeles, you’re seeing the newest round of widespread liberal violence and rioting over ICE deporting illegal immigrants. As per usual in these situations, the liberal politicians are covering for the rioters and keeping the police from doing what it takes to end the riots. You can also be sure there’s a lot of liberal money secretly flowing in to help encourage the protests and violence. That’s just what they do.
Sending in the National Guard is absolutely the right thing to do because this will continue to spread and become more violent if it’s not shut down – and liberals DON’T WANT TO SHUT IT DOWN. That might seem crazy because conservatives won’t tolerate this behavior where they live, which means it inevitably happens in liberal cities. But, you have to understand how the game is played.
To begin with, liberals admire the people looting, burning, and behaving violently in the streets the same way conservatives admire members of the military. They look at these people and think, “Wow, if I didn’t have so much to lose, I’d be out there burning a police car and throwing myself in front of an ICE vehicle.” So, they don’t WANT to stop these people, and they also know, paradoxically, the breakdown of law and order benefits THEM politically.
Does it make logical sense that liberals burning down liberal cities would benefit liberals at the polls just because a Republican is in the White House? Not at all, but it does – and of course, what happens if liberals get back into power? Liberals in Congress will reward the liberal politicians who allowed other liberals to burn down a liberal city with large amounts of taxpayer money. Meanwhile, the liberal politicians who let liberal mobs run wild, then turn around and hand members of those mobs millions of taxpayer dollars in settlements based on the fact that when the police were FINALLY allowed to stop them from destroying the city, they were too MEAN to the poor rioters.
What it all comes down to is that this violent behavior by the Left needs to end and they have every incentive to let it continue. So, if that means sending in the National Guard, and the FBI and filing federal charges that put these violent liberal cowards away long-term, good. Liberals continually try to conflate peaceful protests with riots, looting, arson and attacks on police. America has a long history of supporting peaceful political protest, but we also have a long history of refusing to bow down to violent thugs. It’s time for the Left to get an education in that part of our history.
They don’t understand morality. They don’t understand right and wrong. All they understand is that “There may be consequences if I do this, so I better not.” So, restore order using as little force as possible, but as much force as needed. If that’s not done, the Left will continue to push the violence to higher and higher levels until they’re checked. So, check them now.
Violence begins where logic and morality end.
Left out the BLM riots in San Francisco and Portland, both of which have yet to recover.
