Everything you've said here is true; these events should potentially shock the Left, yet they are perfectly consistent with the Left's playbook. It's tough for me to watch, this constant lying and manipulation. They take advantage of the fact that with the internet, a lie travels around the world instantly, while the truth takes a while to catch up, by which time those pre-disposed to believe the propaganda have had their notions confirmed and have moved on; or will simply reject any new information that contradicts their cherished beliefs. My disdain and contempt for the Left is massive and equally well deserved. The Demoncats in my family have implicitly replaced Christianity with liberal politics, so no facts that contradict what they believe can be acknowledged or received. Makes it frustrating to debate with them, they are fine with being "fact free, and proud of it" as a defense mechanism, they will never admit when they get it completely wrong. Instead, there's a lame excuse or a "whataboutism." Doesn't bode well for the future of America.

Most democrats are not for men is girls bathrooms, allowing criminal illegal aliens to remain in the country, etc. but they tell their voters that all that matters is abortion rights and protecting democracy etc. while pushing all their bullsh*t anti-American, anti-western agenda on the whole country.
My assessment of the people who support the democratic party is that they are either too old and riddled with dementia to comprehend that their preferred sources of information are liars, or they are too stupid to understand; completely brainwashed by their educations; lazy cheats who are perfectly willing to support the party that pays them to do nothing but hate the portion of the country that works and has their money stolen from them to give to the undeserving and illegals, and in addition to all that, they are evil. There is no excuse to be affiliated with the democrat party other than being evi, or stupid. A good many of them are both.
In my younger days growing up under depression parents, I was regaled with stories how their parents were down to their last quarter when the democrats gave my grandfather a job in the highway department. This saved the family farm and they voted every election straight dem.
Regardless of the issues and dem positions they didn't want to hear any opposing ideas.
After I started paying taxes and saw the results of Democrat policies I switched parties. I was given grief for that the remainder of my parents life. As well as my retired teacher sister. To them, I was literally stupid. That belief is true to this day.
Even with depression parents gone, the loyalty to democrat "saviors" lives on in their daughter. It may take several generations for that mindset to be even challenged.
Loyalty and gratitude is one thing, but when it closes the mind to truth and proof that the beloved entity has degenerated into a monster, then loyalty is no longer warranted, and a mind that can’t accept that has been cemented closed.
This is supported by my experiences with my family and (former) friends, and like I always contend, makes me believe they are demonically possessed. Morality is old fashioned and useless to them, because that might cause a non-possessed person to think; "wait a minute, he's right!" Just today a family member was congratulating Zohran for making the "ultra wealthy" pay an extra tax on their non-primary residence, because "it's about time they fund NYC city services." She wouldn't buy my counter-argument that in fact they already do pay property taxes, actually very high ones, since the properties are assessed at $5M and up. They are not using the buses or subways, and they don't have any greater use of police fire protection, because by definition, most of the time they're not living there. But "No, because they are rich, they must pay another sort of wealth tax!" I pointed out the fact that if they get squeezed too hard, they will sell and maybe move to another city or state, and then Moron Zamboni will be just like Gov Hochul and beg them to come back (or at least cut him a check). Facts just won't be allowed to interfere with their socialist prejudices.
