I also enjoyed your comments. There are so many people out there who will never gain my respect. You're not one of them so I appreciate hearing your opinions.

"Elon Musk"

Not at all loved anymore since he's gone far right wannabe pundit, arch troll, defender of racists, and the man who made Twitter even worse than it was already.

"The Passion of the Christ"

Interesting list! Have you seen "The Last Temptation of Christ"? That's my favorite these days and inspired the name of my publishing company.

"If we’re talking about a more realistic scenario featuring our actual options, I’d take DeSantis followed by any non-joke candidates 20 deep except Trump. Trump is so toxic at this point, that even if I wanted him in the White House again, which I don’t, I think his chances of beating even a weak candidate like Biden are somewhere between slim, none, and “he may need a miracle.” Trump would max out Democrat turnout, lose independents big time, and would probably lose more Republicans than just about any other candidate because the man has an incredible knack for making enemies."

Glad to see you still have your sanity and brains. Correct analysis.

"Until we change the culture, things are going to stay broken."

John, I hate to be the one to break this to you but "we" cannot "change the culture." Because America is not made up of just one culture, it's filled with dozens and dozens, one could even argue hundreds or perhaps 1000+. Our nation wasn't settled by one culture, we're a miso-mash of tons of them.

And a lot of these cultures - most of them I'd even say - are simply terribly broken, always have been, and have no interest in fixing themselves. As George Carlin said, "the public sucks!" This is simply the way of the world - most cultures and most people are just terrible and self-destructive.
