After years of defending, encouraging, and catering to the most radical people in their base, it has been interesting to see some of the more old-school liberals getting worried about the craziest members of their party starting to acquire some real power.
The problem with Carville and most hard core Democrats is that their hand-wringing about the socialist drift of their party is only because they see it damaging the Democrat brand for upcoming elections. It isn't any indication that Democrats are gaining some concern based on ideological standards and principles. Democrats like Carville have no standards and principles other than winning elections and gaining and retaining power. The reason is that government is the money and wealth-making industry for Democrats. They demand control of government to funnel more money into their bank accounts. Just like Wall Street banksters, morality comes after filling up personal coffers.
Most people join the same party of their parents and grandparents. The parties are treated like two rival football teams. So each party has their own groups of liberal, moderate and conservative members. Just like a team, there is competition for power to influence their direction. So many in each are certain that they know exactly what the best policies are.
For the democrats, their brand is now what they are most concerned about. They will do what they think they need to do to remain popular. They also do not trust the average person, so they say one thing publicly and another privately. They are the only ones that know the way to the promised land and how to best get there. To implement their plan, they are doing exactly what they are blaming the Republicans and Trump of doing.
The dems are the fasicsts that want to infringe on our Constitutional Rights to get what they want.
It is Freedom of speech for their views but it is hate speech if it is an opposing view. They do not want the masses to have guns, they want the guns for themselves so that have the power to enforce their will.
Morality is just an outdated, evangelical Christian, white-supremacist noose around the necks of progressive thinkers. Like the barbarians that they are, they simply refuse to be tied down by old-fashioned notions about what worked best in the past. We all laughed at Kamala's word ridiculous tag line about not being tied down by what happened in the past, yet Demoncats are aligned with that insanity. Jessica Huong is running for governor in my state (WI), and she is crazier than a sh*t house rat, yet I think she is the Demoncat front-runner. If you want to hear insanity, catch a short clip of her responding to rapid fire questions from Hasan Piker about what she believes. (Crowder has a great segment on YT and Rumble.) I know it sounds overboard to predict a violent response to her victory, but how do you square the constitution and the existence of a functioning nation with turning control over to these anti-American maniacs? It won't be me that fires the next "shot heard round the world," but I also can't imagine people like me just sitting on the sidelines watching while they tear it all down. The lack of good parenting, the decline in public education, and the decline in church attendance were all bound to undermine the foundations of American society. We are living in dangerous times, when even soulless puppeteers like Carville are shaking their corrupt melons about the radical left.
Here is the problem, democrats have no problem resorting to violence. They just call them peaceful protests. If the Republicans have a peaceful protest, they call it an insurrection.
Democrats have no problem with criminals having guns. They help create the chaos the dems use as an excuse to impose more control over people. They fear the law-abiding citizens with guns, because they know that those guns could be used to stop them when they overstep.
Those of us on the right abhor violent protests. We are sitting around waiting for the "shot heard around the world" to finally say it is time to take these politicians out of power at the barrel of a gun. For many DSA politicians, once they get power, they will not give it up peaceably and will use violence to stay in power.
I am hoping enough people wake up before it is too late and realize when the time comes to take up arms.
In CA, Newsom said that it would be time to break the glass if there were 2 Republican candidates for governor. The dems were crying about being shut out of political power and were floating the idea to get rid of the jungle primary they pushed through to gain single party rule. Now that there was chance that they would be locked out, they wanted to change back to the old way.
There were enough anomalies in the polls compared to the results and a few too many democratic candidates came back from large deficients in the vote counts between the day after the polls closed to when the vote counts were certified. The law mandates votes be counted and certified within 30 days. This year, many races were certified well past the 30 day count and the LA mayors race was certified after 52 days.
I and many others are certain that the dems did break the glass to save the elections for themselves.
I believe CA is way past the tipping point and there will not be an armed resistance to take back the state. The dems will do anything to stay in power.
In a month I should be out of here for good and I do not plan on ever returning.
You're right, again. I don't know how, or why, the United States survives with the continuing cheating and fraud that is not only tolerated, but in some cases encouraged. How else to explain a non-entity like Ilhan Omar having a seat in congress? Get an idiot president to grant a whole bunch of Somalis "temporary protected" status, and pretty soon you've got tens of thousands of those mentally retarded dummies over here, mooching off people like you and me. And the people who should care and do something to stop it are just equally corrupt Demoncats like our "almost VP" "I carried an assault weapon in a war zone" (um, Italy?) that chubby cheerleader Timmy Walz.
The one glaring issue that is being completely ignored is the Somalis and Pakistanis have a long history of marrying first cousins. It keeps the tribe together because they are all related. Now, these close relative marriages are producing children with a high rate of birth defects and intellectual impairments. They become a drag on society. The Somali community in the US have used close relative marriages to bring over other family members.
There is very strong evidence that Ilhan Omar married her brother so she could get to the US. Her father was a colonel in the Marxist Dictatorship government that invaded Ethiopia and committed genocide.
That information was sanitized so he became a champion of democracy.
When the Trump administration floated the idea that she be deported for immigration, the current Somali government said they would gladly take her. They want to put her on trial for her role in supporting the genocide in Ethiopia and the crimes committed in Somalia to suppress opposition to the dictatorship.
I am not surprised of the Somali community’s involvement in the fraud and corruption that was uncovered. I find it interesting that there has been no news about charges or trials of those involved. As usual, those with political power escape justice. I am sure the corruption is still occurring, they are just better at hiding it.
No one should be surprised, they are behaving just like they did in Somalia, people in power appoint family members to positions in the government so they can work together enriching themselves through fraud and corruption.
My wife heard something the other day. The difference between socialism and communism is communism is by force and socialism is by the consent of the masses.
Many Marxist believe that socialism is the path to move a capitalistic society to communism. Communism is the utopian goal. Most will be happily contented to just be entertained. The converse is also true, why work long hours to build a better mousetrap without a guarantee of success and usually suffering many failures along the way? Communism and socialism offer an easy life with but takes away all motivation to do better.
Capitalism I am responsible for myself. If I fail, it is on me. Many have a hard time accepting that there is a great diversity of abilities. It is hard to accept that you will never be a great football player because you are not athletically gifted, even if you love to play.
This is where participation trophies have changed our expectations. We have raised a couple of generations that believe they can do anything they want and they will get the same recognition as those that are much better. Everybody is a star.
When I was in high school, I loved to run cross country. Whenever I could, I would spend time in the mountains running trails. On backpacking trips, I would wake up in the morning and for fun, run 3 to 5 miles before I broke camp and went to my next destination.
In high school I joined the cross-country team. I practiced harder than most. I would run 10 miles a day during practice in 110 degree heat. Back then, schools did not have air conditioning and kids played outside even in the heat. We quickly acclimated to the heat.
No matter how hard I trained, the best I could do on a 3 mile race course was about 19 minutes and often finished in the middle of the pack. Those that finished first often ran the race in just under 15 minutes.
I had great endurance. I could run at a pace of 7 minute miles for 1 to two hours. In. my senior year I had a knee injury that sidelined me. For a month, I tried just about everything to come back. I eventually realized that even if I miraculously fully recovered, I would still only be average, so I dropped off the team. My coach said I was a quitter. I said I am a realist, I have pushed myself very hard and my knee has giving out. It took a surgery and 3 years of rehab to get to point I could walk without pain and my knee locking up.
During rehab, my orthopedic doctor suggested that I take up cycling. It was great exercise to build up my knee strength and does not stress the joint to the degree that running does.
I took that advice. After a while, I was doing long distance bike rides. I knew from the start I would never be fast enough to race, but I had the endurance to ride 100 to 200 miles at a time in organized rides. I met a lot of people and developed many friendships.
We all cannot be an Elon Musk. Most of us though would not enjoy living the life he does. What capitalism and our Republican government allows us to do is to find our niche. We can be as successful as we wish and we still can find the work/life balance that we want.
When I was in my 20s, I would do 16 to 18 hour days working and going to college. I even went to graduate school and succeeded because I put in the long hours.
When my son was born, I had a complete change of focus. I wanted to have time to spend with him. I left a career path that would require long periods of 16+ hour days. I took a job as a high school teacher so my schedule closely matched that of my son's. When school was in session, there were still some long work days, but I could come home after school, focus on my son, then after he went to bed, I would spend a few hours doing the work I needed to do. I also learned to use my time more efficiently at school. Teachers have many breaks of a minute or two and I would place those tasks that could be done in this time frame in a basket on my desk. When I had a moment, I would do these tasks. I also worked during lunch. I just ate in my room while doing what needed to be done.
I ended up with the life I wanted, not the life that the elites want to impose on me.
Yes, precisely the facts, well written. I would add that I had a similar experience, without the knee injury. (I eventually got "shin splints" from too much running on back roads around my town). When I was in high school, I would run for miles most nights after dark by the light of the moon; I had great endurance in those days. But I knew that I didn't have the ability to pace myself in a multi-lap race, I would go out too fast and my legs would get full of lactic acid and I would stagger over the finish line. So I ran the 440 (yards, in those days!), but I was never the fastest. I didn't have to quit, I stayed on the team, but I was true JV, not varsity. In my senior year I lettered, but it was basically a participation trophy and I was too embarassed to actually go to the awards ceremony. I have lived my life as a "jack of all trades, master of none" I guess. A generalist, not a specialist. I am happy with that choice that I accepted; I do not feel that I was cheated of my "just due." Reality, not magical thinking, is my modus operandi, and that's where- and why- I deviate from and NEVER will join the progressive left. It's always a question, though, will they just let me be? Or will they come after me to loot what I have earned over the course of my life? If they were cunning, they would wait until people like you and I pass away, Jerry, because even when I get too old to patrol, I could still do overwatch.

Small point: as you already know, Jefferson was not at the Constitution's creation. Mostly Madison, Hamilton & Jay. Otherwise, great article.
You are correct. I was being expansive in givng him credit for his influence, even though he wasn't one of the writers.
