I used to work at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, which was the headquarters of the Air Force's UFO project. Every now and then someone would ask me if rumors were true about the Air Force having a UFO hidden in a hanger or bodies of aliens. I'd always say, "Well, if there is some big conspiracy to hide this that's been going on for decades, I'm not in on it. And if I was, if the government had really been hiding this for all these years, do you really think I'd blow the whole secret in a casual conversation at a party?" I mentioned this to one of my co-workers and he said he often got similar questions. And that he'd reply by putting on a stone-faced expression and droning in a monotone, "I can neither confirm nor deny such rumors. Any inquiries must be directed to the Air Force Office of Public Affairs." Which was great because it was completely true, but implied that there WAS some big conspiracy without actually saying so!
