Fascinating! Thanks.. I I recently purchased a subscription to Ground.News... it was an eye opener. I have been recommending it to others. Even if it's just the trial version. They make it quite apparent which direction different news sources lean. . I have been surprised that many people don't want to know because of the discomfort of cognitive dissonance. I have experienced it myself and I'm definitely primed on certain social issues since you pointed it out.

The scary thing is bias in AI. In most cases it's opaque. For example; I used Chat GPT 3 (an AI app) to look up DEI related topics. It leaned pretty far left in responses. When I asked Chat GPT 4 the same questions I got a more unbiased response. I did some research and discovered that Chat GPT3 uses Wikipedia as one of its data sources. Wikipedia has a very left leaning bias. Chat GPT 4 did not use Wikipedia!

As with any convincing courtroom drama...whether legally required by the individual state or not...humans need a motive. This despite the reality that answers to “why” are virtually always conspicuously absent. This piece is well-written but not exactly revealing or surprising. It’s probably safe to assume many of us instinctively know this is happening even while vouching for the honor and legitimacy of our sources. Now dig into why the media do this and you’ll have a story, Ol’ boy!
