Excellent summary. The key is that we really didn’t have a choice. Between the regime’s attempt at building nuclear weapons and the 100 or so missiles they were building every month, waiting longer would have only made the Iran problem harder to solve.
The perfect example of this dilemma is North Korea where we knew they have been building nuclear weapons for years yet and, despite saying “stop.” It’s now too late. Combine those weapons with intercontinental ballistic missiles and a messianic regime, the world is now at the mercy of a paranoid dictator.
Would allowing that to happen in Iran which, unlike NK, sits on a mountain of black gold, have been a good idea? I know I don’t think so.
Of course your history is accurate and your conclusions are correct. I just want to mention, not open a can of worms, that this action has "smoked out" the squishy RINO's and the "horseshoe" right. Needless to say, many hours have been spent on this subject and anyone can find it on Youtube. I mention it because I believe, personally, that God is testing the United States on this issue. It has been 80 years- two generations- since we smashed the Nazis and helped the Jews settle in Israel. If we want another generation of His blessings, we need to do this to defend Israel. Yes, there will be people who think BB N controls me (ha, ha), but I think we need to do this to fill up our reservoir of His blessings for another generation. We have the military power now, we have God's man as POTUS, and that makes it the smartest thing we, the USA, can ever do. Thank you for posting this, John.
I mean, it’s kind of obvious how much we set them back by: 8 months. Evidence: we started bombing them again 8 months after midnight hammer. I’m willing to bet a fat chunk of cash that the CIA or some other intelligence agency egged on the major protests right at the time that deadline was approaching and we were in talks with Iran. It’s all too suspicious.

Good Stack. An accurate summary. We’ll see is definitely the correct conclusion. A lot of variables.
