If I came to America, having never been here before, I might honestly think the rainbow flag was the national flag. We were flying out of Denver recently and there were a couple southwest counters that were just covered in all things Pride related. We flew back in on July 3rd - I didn’t see any America decorated counters (and if they were there, they weren’t as prominent as what I saw for Pride). The fact that so many Gen Z And Millenials are identifying as LGBT is bizarre (and no, it can’t be compared to left handedness). I am raising three wonderful boys (11,7, and 3) and while we do homeschool, I worry so much about them getting entrenched in this somehow. I just had a “friend” post on Facebook about how if you have any issue with pride month, you aren’t Christ like at all and need to take a serious look at yourself and your values. Katie, it is sad to hear about the Facebook friend. It sounds like this person attends a leftist infiltrated church. We left the ELCA (Lutheran denomination) for that reason. There is a great 2021 movie (associated with Trevor Loudon) called The Enemies Within: The Church that documents this leftist takeover of our churches. And even good conservatives still attend them with all sorts of excuses (have gone there for decades, like the pastor, like the people, etc). No different than parents who continue to enroll their children in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
We actually attend a church that is very conservative in beliefs and doctrine, but there are members within who seek to change that doctrine constantly. There are a lot of “influencers” who are members who try and push things that way, and unfortunately many members go along with it and denounce the leadership of the church as being “out of touch.” It’s so sad to see.
During the Covid nonsense our conservative church leadership completely bought into locking down, services only on Zoom, wear face diapers (once in person services resumed), wiping down the pews, roping off sections so people would not sit near each other, and lecturing those of us who gathered to visit inside the church. It was unbelievably sad to not see pushback other than from a handful of us. I stopped attending until all the nonsense was stopped, a couple others moved to churches that did not submit to the fear porn.

John, excellent column. I have always believed the goal of the homosexuals (and I am old enough to remember "we just want tolerance") was to normalize pedophilia. While I do not know for sure it appears most young people are brought into the homosexual lifestyle because of predatory homosexual adults. So they repeat the behavior that happened to them. And of course the marxist left has used the Alphabet people to create more chaos, division, and to destabilize society. Our son's stepdaughter is Gen Z and when she started high school 4 years ago as a mixed up kid she was told she was a boy. The school went behind the parent's backs to encourage it. By the grace of God, parental intervention, and a conservative boyfriend this beautiful girl did not go that route.
