Thank you so much for writing this article, John. It reaffirms my sense of sanity. In a world where it seems like the culture I was raised in is disappearing like snow in August, it's so reassuring to hear that I'm not going crazy, it really is happening and that we shouldn't all just "go along to get along," like my Lutheran friends tell me. "You're too opinionated- people will think you're a jerk," while every progressive within earshot is bloviating about how people like me "f'ed up the planet and they have to be stopped!" God bless you, and your work.
John, I wrote an economics paper called "Seminal Insights" that you may be interested in reading. In it the subject of cultural capital is discussed. The avoidance of low cultural capital is confused with racism even if the people avoiding low cultural capital are black. Cultural capital consists of empathy for others, ethics, education, expectations, and enterprise.
Best thing I've read all day - and I read A LOT. π
