Well said. A congressman should enter this article in the congressional record.

Excellent article, clearly highlighting The distorted often malignant characterizations of GOP specifically and conservatives in general disseminated repeatedly by today's Left.

All while they claim to be "defenders of democracy!"!

There is no question about the double standard that exists between frequent, very real "hate Speech"often heard from often emotion-fueled Lefties, MUCH more than the other way around.

Time is long past due to call the lefties(& their media slaves!) to Account for this consistently negative, often hateful and frequently dishonest hostile narrative against their political opponents!

See today’s blog post at Stilton’s Place, on the same theme. https://stiltonsplace.blogspot.com/2024/07/trigger-warning.html

Blog author Jarlsberg makes the same point and writes it clearly:

"Did the shooter believe himself to be a martyred hero who would rid the world of Hitler 2.0? And if he believed that's who Trump is, then every person who fed the lie had a finger on the trigger.

This most certainly includes Joe Biden and those around him. The ladies of The View. Adam Schiff. Joy Reid. Rachel Maddow. Hell, everyone on MSNBC. And hundreds if not thousands more. There was a tacit understanding that for a dementia-ridden Biden to win, Trump had to die. And so the Left's hyperbolic scare-rhetoric was consciously created and constantly repeated in order to find a shooter."

And this is exactly the logic that the Democrats used to attempt to convict Trump of being an insurrectionist due to his weak attempts (at least he made attempts) to keep the crowd peaceful. As usual, they are blind to the hypocrisy of their actions due to their religious faith in their righteousness.

Yes, political violence (targeted, widespread & random) is a standard political tool of the Left; condoning any such violence begets more incl violence "justified" by lies & hysteria.

Also (and lest anyone think ops like the "July 20 Plot" were immoral): Whatever one might think about pre-emptive assassination, once Hitler became a wartime military leader - particularly as his military's lead strategist, he became a valid target.

First it was a war so trying to kill Hitler wouldn't have been an assassination anymore than dropping a bomb on a building would be called assassinating the people inside of it. The British did consider it but realized it would be a suicide mission for the men involved and would have very little chance of success. Also by late in the war Hitler was making so many military mistakes that it was as if he was on the Allies side. If he had been killed his replacement might have been more competent. Second the idea that if he died the Holocaust would have stopped is ludicrous. Himmler was just as enthused about killing Jews as Hitler. Hitler or no Hitler the death camps would have continued to run. Maybe if Hitler had been killed before assuming power or before the war actually started it would have made a difference. But after he invaded Poland? No. Your basic question is absurd.

If you truly believe Trump is Hitler then you will think\feel justified in trying to kill him. Doesn't matter if it's true or not. Trump hatred is a belief, not a rational argument. Beliefs need no justification . That's why they are called beliefs. Rational arguments will not prevail.

You can't force inside people to be sane. You can't torture them into sanity.,doesn't work. What is going on in the D party is a form of mass insanity. Trump hatred is part of it. So is all the antisemitism. And probably a lot of DEI, Wokeism, etc. At least the parts that aren't a grift. You can't have rational arguments with irrational or insane people.
