Good analysis. Conservatives are characteristically independent, do-it yourselfers, who as you've heard a gazillion times just want to be left alone. And that in a nutshell is our Achilles heel. Leftists/progressives are busybodies with an elevated condition of Dunning-Krueger, blithely causing mayhem and disaster with their well-meaning(thoughtless) programs and solutions they foist on those they want to "help", never in their wildest dreams being willing to live under any of it themselves. I don't know the answer. Wish I could think of some other way than cultural collapse to undo the harm both leftists and conservatives have caused.

I agree with the basic thesis, I could add many points, but let me just add one: If we want to change America, we have to change the CULTURE. Law follows culture, not the other way around. Andrew Fletcher once wrote, "Let me make the songs of a nation, and I care not who makes its laws.” Conservatives surrendered entertainment, media, and education to the liberals a few decades ago, and now we're seeing the effects.

I read once -- someday I'll have to research this and get the details -- that in the 1950s every major Christian denomination in America had an office in Hollywood that gave producers and screenwriters advice on how to make their movies and TV shows promote morality and present Christianity in a positive way. But then in the 1960s they all said that Hollywood had become too corrupt and they didn't want to be involved any more because that could be perceived as condoning all the evil and corruption, and so one by one all the Christians shut down their offices and moved out. So today it's homosexuals and abortionists who have offices in Hollywood advising them on how to present moral issues. The moral of the story, of course, is that when an institution is evil and corrupt, that's when it most needs conservatives and Christians to be involved. Saying "I'm not going to get involved with these people until they clean up their act" is like saying "I'm not going to the doctor until I get over being sick."

Conservatives began losing the fight back in the 1960's/1970's by being lackluster and not paying attention to the young hippie movement that was growing rapidly. My grandfather said back then "Our world will fundamentally change when these youngsters come into power." he was right and conservatives didn't pay attention. Look at the US now! I finally moved overseas to a strong conservative country with strong Christian values. You mentioned that America is still a super power? Hardly. Russia and China are rapidly catching up and passing the US in many areas.

No wokeness here for now but I see it trying to infiltrate our country though the western CIA controlled NGO's. Wokeness is killing everything that I used to love about America but now I'll never return as it has become a decadent and corrupt nation. Rome anyone?
